I See The Future In Black and White

10 Jan

A few recent favourites that I haven’t posted elsewhere.

Memory Tapes – Green Knight (CREEP Remix)

This remix has it all, long and brooding it’s the perfect soundtrack to a walk home in the dark. It starts off almost classical, before moving to a more housey style, before going into a long, slow pop track. It makes the original sound like an eighties classic type. Like a more sophisticated, less club-friendly version of the endless 00’s remixes of 80’s tracks.

Slime featuring Vondelpark – Two Player (Demo)

Vondelpark is fast becoming a favourite of mine. This track with fellow Londoner Slime is one I left out of my previous piece on him, but is much the same idea, two-step meets indie.

Zoo Kid – Ocean Bed

Unbelievably this comes from the pen of a 16 year old. It sounds like something from the pen of a seasoned artist, and marks the notoriously shy Zoo Kid as one to watch for the future.

Beat Connection – In The Water

The Drums went to Ibiza for a week, renamed themselves Beat Connection and came back. They brought this back with them.
